4th Annual Rocktoberfest at Esplanade Park on Friday October 21st
Posted by: | CommentsCystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Riverwalk Trust team up again for the fourth annual Rocktoberfest, an outdoor music and beer festival on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Esplanade Park(400 SW 2nd Street) (in front of the Museum of Discovery and Science). The event will raise funds for the two local charities.
For a $25 donation, or $20 prepaid online, guests will be able to enjoy over 30 vendors including craft beers from numerous beer vendors, local bars and restaurants, a street of Gourmet Food Trucks and live performances by some of your favorite local bands.
Attendees may also choose to be part of the VIP Experience at Rocktoberfest. The VIP lounge will feature an area where guests will get the premium Rocktoberfest experience, including special cocktails, catered appetizers, comfortable seating, giveaways and more. VIP ticket holders also have access to the entire Rocktoberfest event. Limited VIP tickets available $40 prepaid online.
Ticket proceeds go to benefitting the two local charities, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Riverwalk Trust. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.GoRiverwalk.com or at the door the evening of the event.

Posted by: | CommentsSeason 1 of The Cooking Channel’s Eat St. saw Fish Box., Yellow Submarine and The Rolling Stove make their TV debuts with great episodes. Season 2 will on TV shortly and features Mr. Good Stuff, Dim Ssäm à gogo and Latin Burger & Taco.
This now brings us up to speed as Eat St. is back filming 3 more episodes for Season 3. So if you want to come out on TV you’ll have an opportunity. This Thursday October 6th through Saturday October 8th, 3 of your Miami Food Truck favorites will be getting immortalized. Which trucks are getting the Eat St. treatment?

Food Trucks At The Track in Pompano

The trucks will be serving up the food right on the track 4 times between October (8th and 22nd) and November (12th and 26th) at Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park in Pompano. There are plenty of tables and chairs for seating, a Live D.J. & Live Harness Racing. Plus, when you spend a minimum of $5 at any individual food truck you’ll receive $5 in Isle Play and a chance to win $250 in cash. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
